- Enable the microphone to add a voiceover.

- Check the volume level.
Thanks to audio, your recording becomes clearer and more personal.
3. Selecting the screen to record
Once recording starts, a window will appear where you can choose what exactly you want to capture:
- Entire screen – ideal for general presentations.
- Application window – useful if you want to focus on a specific program.
- Current tab – a good choice when discussing content solely in the ClickUp tab.
4. Recording
After everything is set, click Start Recording. While recording, you can:
- speak,
- navigate the screen,
- show, click, scroll – everything will be captured.
When you’re done, click Stop.
What happens after recording?
After finishing the recording, ClickUp automatically:
- uploads the video to the cloud,
- generates a link to the recording,
- embeds the video in the place where it was created (e.g., in a task comment).
You can immediately play the recording, copy the link, share it with teammates, or download it. There’s no need to manually upload or transfer anything – everything happens automatically.
Where can you find and play the recordings?
Record Clip recordings are saved in ClickUp and available directly in the tasks they’re attached to. You can also find them in the ClickUp Hub, accessible from the recording start menu or by clicking the 9-dot icon.
What is ClickUp Hub?
ClickUp Hub is the communication and collaboration center in ClickUp. It includes such as:
- Record Clip recordings,
- voice messages,
- shared documents,
- communication history.
In the Hub, you can easily revisit previous recordings, search them, comment, and share – even with people outside the team (if you have the proper permissions).
